What is a Demarcation Service?

It’s a professional land surveying service that precisely locates your property’s legal boundaries. This involves extensive research of deeds, plats, and historical records, combined with on-site measurements and the placement of physical boundary markers (like iron rods or concrete monuments). A detailed survey map (plat) is produced.

The time varies greatly based on property size, complexity, terrain, and the availability/clarity of historical records. A standard residential lot might take a few days to a week or two. Larger or more complex properties, or those with difficult-to-locate old records, could take longer.

We use high-precision Total Stations, GNSS/GPS equipment, and site layout drawings to mark boundary lines, corners, and plot extents with pegs, stakes, or concrete markers as needed.

Demarcation is critical for:
